This notice explains what is recorded about you when you use this site, why, and what you can ask for. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.

Who is responsible

What is collected, and when

If you book a session

The booking form asks for your name, email address, phone number and anything you choose to write in the notes. This is needed to hold the appointment and to contact you about it. Your name, email, phone number and notes are encrypted in the database rather than stored as plain text.

If you send a message

The contact form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message. These are also encrypted at rest, and are used only to reply to you.

If you only read the site

Nothing is asked of you and no account is created. See cookies for the small number of technical cookies involved.

What it is used for

• Arranging, confirming and reminding you about appointments.
• Replying to messages you send.
• Keeping the records a practitioner is expected to keep about the sessions they give.

Your details are never sold, never passed to advertisers, and never used to market anything to you unless you have separately asked to hear from us.

Who else sees it

Anita reads everything you send. Beyond that, information is handled by the services this site runs on, its hosting and its email delivery, which process it on our instructions and for no purpose of their own.

Nothing is shared with anyone else unless the law requires it, or unless there is a serious concern about someone's safety.

How long it is kept

Contact messages that do not lead to an appointment are not kept indefinitely.

What you can ask for

Under UK data protection law you may ask us to:

• tell you what is held about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete what is held, where there is no legal reason to keep it;
• stop using it for a particular purpose;
• hand it over in a portable form.

Ask through the contact page and you will get a reply within one month. There is no charge for this.

If you are unhappy with how a request was handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Where sessions involve a child, bookings are made and consented to by a parent or carer, and any information about the child is held under the same terms as everything else described here.
