What we aim for

Part of who this practice works with is families living with additional needs. Accessibility here is not a compliance exercise; it is the same audience the rest of the site is written for.

This site aims to meet the WCAG 2.2 AA standard. That is an aim rather than a certified claim: it has been built to the standard but not independently audited.

What the site does

• Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and the focused element is always visible.
• Text can be resized in your browser without the layout breaking or content disappearing.
• Colour is never the only way something is communicated.
• Text contrast meets AA against its background throughout.
• There is a "skip to content" link before the menu.
• Nothing moves, flashes or auto-plays.
• If your device or browser is set to reduce motion, animation and smooth scrolling are switched off.
• Questions and answers are all visible at once rather than hidden inside accordions.
• Forms have real labels, and errors are announced rather than only coloured.

Where it may fall short

Content added over time, articles, images, embedded video, depends on being described properly when it is written. If you find an image without a description, or a video without captions, that is a gap worth telling us about.

Telling us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please say so. Describe what you were trying to do and what happened. It will be taken seriously and, where it can be, fixed.

If the website is the barrier and you would rather not use it at all, you are welcome to phone instead. Nothing on this site is the only way to reach the practice.
